Batik Painting |
In conjuction with the upcoming Hari Raya Puasa which end the Muslim fasting month, Krangkraf had organised a Batik Painting Workshop at One Utama Shopping Centre. It's a showcase of colors and a test of participants' talent with color mixing and steady hands.
Malaysian Batik mostly originated from East Coast of the Peninsula Malaysia namely Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang but now it's normal to see batik wear by local and tourist.
According the generous Cik Shida of Krangkraf, Batik Painting is an annual event at One Utama before the Hari Raya festival. It's a way to make known to the public and tourist on how
Malaysian Batik are made beside having the hand-on experience of painting the batik.
Based on my personal observation, batik painting also foster a teamwork amongst family members and closer bond of family life. Kids just love the painting experience though they may dirty their hands in the process.
