SSP Photoshoot 2021: Borneo Tradition Costume 2

Welcome back.

Previously we had a great time with a lovely couple Sheera and Nick in their Borneo Traditional Costume namely Iban and Orang Ulu and now we move to a Malay Costume KEBAYA. Now KEBAYA wear by all races in the Borneo States (Sabah and Sarawak) and also in Malaysia as a whole.

Theme for this photoshoot was Bawang Putih Bawah Merah or Garlic and Onion. Two beautiful models where Nur Arbida as Putih in the white Kebaya and Intan Zaiidi as Merah in the red Kebaya.

Organized by Sarawak Street Photography with props provided by Master Bakir Bujang.

Photographers joined the event were Master Bakir Bujang (QBC and SSP Leader), Master Chan Hua Chiang, Maliana Dahlan, Lee Ka Sim, Mazlan, John

Nur Ardiba in White Modern Kebaya as Bawang Putih

Intan Ziidi in Red Modern Kebaya as the bullied and hardwork Bawang Merah.

Bawang Putih walked in the Garden hoping for the Prince to passby.

Her beauty attacks the local men but she prefer a Prince.

While Bawang Merah roamed alone in the jungle looking for her mother.

Bawang Merah admired the beauty of nature as she heard the birds singing on the tree top.

Realizing the beauty of Bawang Merah, Bawang Putih asked her magic mirror, "Magic mirror, who is the prettiest in the Land?"

The beauty of Bawang Merah kept appeared in Bawang Putih's mind as Merah is beautiful and also a good singer. Later her melodious song attracted the passing Prince. Yet Putih's mother claimed to the Prince that it was Putih who sang the melodious song.

Putih tried her best to sing to the Prince.

But failed in her attempt and sadness filled her heart.

Then the Prince asked Putih's mother if she has another daughter but that is another story.

The Question is Putih and Merah be happy together in the modern day?

We will see.
